The problem with attendance you cannot verify
A timestamp on its own proves very little. A shared tablet in a corridor, a spreadsheet filled in at the end of the week, or a message saying "marked in" all produce the same thing: a record nobody can check later. When a payroll dispute or a client audit arrives, there is no way to answer the only question that matters — was this person actually there?
The usual answer is a biometric terminal at every door, which means hardware to buy, maintain and replace, and one fixed point everyone has to queue at. That does not help a hybrid team at all, and it does nothing for a second or third site.
How GPS attendance verification works

You define the location
Each location gets coordinates and a radius in metres, plus its own working hours, working days and grace thresholds. A single office is the default; multiple locations are an Enterprise capability.
The employee opens a browser
They scan the location's QR code or open their attendance link. There is no app to download and no Timenox password to remember, which is what keeps adoption from stalling in week one.
Location is captured at that moment
The browser asks for location permission and the reading is stored against the check-in. Check-out captures its own separate reading. Between those two events, Timenox is not looking.
The record keeps its context
Each record carries its own location context and attendance mode, so a month later you can still see how a given day was marked instead of guessing.

Verification, not surveillance
This distinction is the whole design. Timenox answers whether someone was at a place at a time. It does not answer where they went afterwards, because it never collects that.

GPS attendance questions
Does Timenox track employees continuously with GPS?
No. Location is captured at the moment an employee marks attendance — check-in and check-out — and nowhere else. There is no background location service, no route history, and nothing running between those two actions. Employees do not install an app, so there is no process that could report location in the background.
How does the office radius work?
Each location has a set of coordinates and a radius in metres. When an employee checks in, their device location is compared against that radius and the result is stored alongside the attendance record. Administrators can also allow attendance from outside the radius when a role genuinely requires it.
What happens if GPS is inaccurate or unavailable?
Consumer GPS accuracy varies with buildings, weather and device. Timenox stores the location signal it receives with the attendance record rather than silently discarding or correcting it, so an administrator reviewing an unusual record can see what the device actually reported.
Which plans include GPS location verification?
Location verification is part of the Grow and Trust plans. The Free plan covers QR attendance for up to 10 employees at one location without location verification.
Can GPS attendance work for remote and hybrid employees?
Yes. Remote attendance is available across plans, and Grow and Trust add location verification to it, so a work-from-home check-in carries the same kind of evidence as an in-office one.
